The chakras are centers of energy all over the body. We have seven major chakras located along the spine. Every feeling and all our senses are integrated with a different chakra. Blocked chakras can manifest in physical, emotional, or spiritual issues. Keeping the chakras open and balanced keeps our energies flowing correctly and can help keep us healthy.
Yoga works to move energy in the body. Yoga postures and controlled breath can aid in the cleansing, balancing and opening of the chakras. Similarly, plants have medicines that support healing. There are plants with healing properties that reduce pain, minimize stress, balance the gut, harmonize the mood, cleanse the body, and more.
We will start with an introduction to all the chakras in the first class in January and then work our way up the chakra system each week, ending again in September with an all chakra focused class. Focusing on different yoga poses and plants each week that pair with each chakra system. Come try, taste and experience yoga and plants with us!
