As a life-long Seeker, I’ve explored various yoga, meditation, and spiritual traditions for over 20 years. I began teaching yoga full time in 2007; my practice has developed into a nondogmatic blend of the movement and energetic practices that resonate with me most: Forrest Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, vinyasa flow, qigong, tai chi, pranayama, and zen meditation.
My teaching is student-focused: each class is intuitively sequenced to meet the needs of those present. I love helping people discover new ways to inhabit and relate to their bodies. I love witnessing students grow stronger and more fearless in their practice. I love facilitating their spiritual and energetic journeys, and I love the way my own journey evolves in the process. I believe there are as many ways to practice yoga as there are people, and that my role as a teacher of yoga is to help you find your practice.
For 12 years, I’ve taught yoga at studios in Los Angeles and Austin, and have worked with hundreds of yoga and bodywork clients seeking pain relief, emotional healing, or energetic alignment. I've completed three Forrest Yoga teacher trainings, as well as trainings in prenatal & postpartum yoga, TRE (Tension/Trauma Release Exercises), tai chi, qigong, massage therapy, and Visionary Craniosacral Work. I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Portland; I offer group and private yoga, meditation, qigong, and energetic healing sessions in both Portland and Los Angeles.
All are welcome in my classes, regardless of size, ability, or experience. I ask that you participate in the co-creation of your practice by informing me of any injuries (chronic and recent) or requests you may have before class begins.
I look foward to seeing you on your mat!
