Pat committed to his yoga practice in 2017 as a way of supplementing both his passion for distance running and his education in Mental Health Counseling. As an athlete and a healer in training, Pat was struck by the immediate restorative impact of yoga on both his body and mind.
In Pat’s yoga classes you will find a safe space, free of judgment, with a special emphasis on releasing the muscular tension caused by repetitive activities like running or sitting at a desk for long periods of time. Pat also brings to each class practical tools from his extensive experience in crisis intervention and anxiety management to empower each student to reduce stress in their own lives.
Pat teaches Vinyasa Flow 6pm Mondays @ Elk Rock Yoga: Connect movement with the breath and empower the body to lead the mind into a state of flow. This class offers lots of queues and modifications as we focus on physically strengthening postures and mental relaxation. My goal is to give each student the opportunity to work hard but to leave with more energy than they came in with.
