Candace Bethel LMT
Candace Bethel is a somatic therapist, energy coach, and licensed massage therapist whose work is rooted in the understanding that healing rarely happens in only one layer of the body.
Born with a missing transverse process at L5 and diagnosed with significant scoliosis in childhood, Candace learned early how profoundly the body can adapt, compensate, and carry patterns over time. Her own experiences with physical pain, trauma, nervous-system dysregulation, and healing led her to explore the deeper relationship between structure, emotion, energy, environment, and the ways our experiences can shape how the body functions and responds.
She has practiced therapeutic and medical massage since 2004 and has expanded her work through yoga therapy, personal training, Reiki, somatic practices, breathwork, energy work, and nervous-system regulation. Her approach is also informed by the evolving understanding of epigenetics—the way environment, stress, behavior, and lived experience can influence biological expression.
Rather than viewing pain or tension as isolated symptoms, Candace works with the body as an interconnected system. Patterns of bracing, holding, disconnecting, or pushing through may begin as intelligent adaptations to injury, stress, or trauma, yet continue long after the original experience has passed.
Through therapeutic touch, somatic awareness, and energy-based practices, she helps clients become curious about what their bodies are communicating and what their whole system may need in order to shift.
Her intention is not simply to “fix” what hurts, but to support the body in softening, regulating, reconnecting, and remembering its innate capacity for wholeness.
