David Silverman LMT
Therapist Spotlight: Meet David Silverman
"I help people feel better—with compassion, precision, and presence."
David is a licensed massage therapist, 500-hour certified yoga teacher, lifelong artist, and educator who has spent decades exploring how people move, learn, and heal. After 30 years of personal yoga practice and more than 12 years of teaching, massage therapy became a natural extension of his passion for helping others reconnect with their bodies.
A graduate of East West College of the Healing Arts, David integrates Swedish massage, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, and other therapeutic techniques to create sessions that are personalized, restorative, and thoughtfully tailored to each client's unique needs.
David especially enjoys helping clients experiencing chronic tension, stress-related pain, mobility challenges, and the everyday aches that come from modern life. His background in movement and education allows him to view the body as an interconnected system, offering care that supports lasting ease—not just temporary relief.
Beyond his work as a therapist...
David is an internationally collected visual artist and accomplished performer. His paintings are held in private and corporate collections and have been featured in solo and group exhibitions throughout Portland, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Earlier in his career, David worked professionally in theater, television, radio, and film as a member of Equity and SAG-AFTRA, sharing the screen with acclaimed actors including Sigourney Weaver, Holly Hunter, Eddie Murphy, and Will Smith.
Beginning July 17, we're honored to showcase David's artwork throughout Elk Rock Wellness, bringing another expression of his creativity, curiosity, and presence into our healing space.
At the heart of David's work is a simple belief: art, movement, and therapeutic touch are all pathways toward healing, balance, and wholeness.
David is available for Massage Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays @ Elk Rock Wellness.
